I enjoyed the few days I spent with this book and was excited each time I picked it up. It's about relationships, what's important in life, shaking yourself out of a 'pity-party' and living your best life. I read a fair amount of Rom-Com and this one is very entertaining. A male protagonist that lives emotionally and loves deeply. The fact that it's through the eyes of a male protagonist written by a male author is so refreshing to me. Is this Ben's opportunity to change his decision for a future with Alice instead of Daphne?Ī male author? Really? This story is beautifully written, with well-developed main characters and entertaining secondary characters. Yep, Ben buys one! The next morning Ben wakes up to at Uni on the day he chose Daphne and left Alice behind. Ben desperately needs a shoulder to cry on!Īfter several drinks, Ben meet a mysterious stranger selling watches frozen at 11:59 PM. But, Ben's thirsty and calls his mate, Harv to meet him at the local pub. It's Christmas Eve and Ben has promised to decorate their Christmas tree while Daphne attends her holiday party at work. Ben's thinking Alice might be a better match for him after all. They've seen each other several times and have another meeting planned.
